i researched how to light the scene when casting a film noir thriller and these are the notes i made on it

Thriller Mood Board

i used pictures that represent a thriller and even some examples to create sort of a brainstorm of that a  thriller could contain.

to get a feel of how to edit we have placed pictures and clips into final cut and experimented with effects to give off the same atmosphere as what Se7en does.

Match on Action research

the continuity shows that the clip shows the same picture in each frame whilst an action is taking place.
basically match on action is when something happens in a scene but then cuts the next scene is also showing the same action but from a different angle or perspective this helps the audience to understand what is happening in the scene. Above is an example of match on action.

for research on shot reverse/shot see 'Becky Gordon's' blog.
also for research on the 180 degree rule see 'Beth Funnell's' blog.
